Fishing GPS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) defines the information acquired from users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”) and its handling in the smartphone application “Fishing GPS” (hereinafter referred to as “this App”) provided by Sandal Boater LLC (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” or “the App Operator”). By using this App, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

Catch records and group participation status (group names, membership information, etc.).

All personal information is collected only with the user’s consent. Information is obtained when users voluntarily input or upload data, or when they explicitly grant permissions. For automatic collection methods such as location services and sign-in with Apple/Google, explicit consent is requested through clear in-app notifications or standard OS dialogs. Users may withdraw consent at any time by changing settings in this App or in the OS.

This App uses external services such as Apple and Google to provide sign-in and authentication. Information obtained from these services (such as identifiers and OAuth tokens) is used only for user authentication, account linkage, and related service provision, and is not used for unrelated purposes. This App does not acquire passwords for these external services.

5. Handling of Location Information

This App uses location information for the following purposes:

Registration and Management of Fishing Spots
Using GPS to allow users to mark their current location or specific points and display them on maps as fishing spots.
Recording and Display of Route Information
Recording movement history by sampling location at certain time or distance intervals and displaying travel routes so that users can later refer to and analyze their tracks.

Users can disable or restrict the acquisition of location information via OS settings (iOS/Android) or in-app permission settings at any time. However, if location information is disabled, some functions such as spot registration, route tracking, or accurate map display may not work properly.

6. Data Storage and Security

The Company implements reasonable security measures to protect user data.

Storage Location
User data is stored on secure cloud servers operated by third-party providers with appropriate security measures in place.
Security Measures
Data transmitted between this App and the servers is protected using encryption technologies such as HTTPS/TLS.
